One Pair
This is the easiest hand to distinguish. It consists of a pair and three distinct cards. The higher ranking pair wins and ties are broken by the high card.

High Card
This is so if there is a hand that doesn’t have even a pair. In this case if there is a tie, it is again broken by the highest card in the rank, and so on.
